About
I'm currently a fixed-term lecturer in History at Swansea University, teaching a range of courses on early modern history, and especially the histories of the family and sexuality.
Prior to this, I was a research assistant within the department of History, working with Professor Chris Evans on a major project, 'Steel in Britain in the Age of Enlightenment'.
I specialise in Welsh medical history of the early moden period, although I have much broader research interests inĀ economic history and material culture, including the 'medical marketplace', retailing and consumption, and social and informational networks. My book, 'Physick and the Family: health, care and medicine in Wales, 1699-1750' will be published by Manchester University Press in autumn 2011.
