About
I am post doctoral scholar with Nancy (IUT Henri-Poincaré), CNRS, Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN), UMR-7039, France.
I have received my doctorate from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2008. Prior to joining IISc, I completed my B.E. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2003.
My current research focus on modeling and nonlinear observer design for glass thermoforming process. However, my research interests are Structural Control, wherein I am particularly interested in semi-active vibration control using magneto-rheological devices. My work includes both development of suitable control algorithms for civil structures and their experimental verification. My interests surround techniques borrowed from intelligent methods, like fuzzy logic, artificial neural network, genetic algorithms etc. I am also interested in backstepping design and optimal dynamic inversion techniques.
Control of infinite dimensional systems also interests me and I have done a couple of work on control of distributed parameter systems.
